EXPLORE (Grade 7-9)
Our EXPLORE programs focus on public speaking skills, applied in a variety of settings and environments. This year, we have four different EXPLORE programs to choose from:
Public Speaking – students learn about the basics of communication, including body language, tone, speaking confidence, posture, and speech structure.
Model United Nations – students learn about foreign policy, diplomacy, and negotiations, in addition to public speaking skills.
Mock Trial – students learn about the law, practice courtroom etiquette, and practice their presentation skills as they play different roles in a court case.
Entrepreneurship – students learn the basics of entrepreneurship with a focus on business communication as they learn to develop a startup idea, fielding questions, and give presentations using powerpoint.
Tuition: Regular tuition for each 1-week session is $800. However, right now we’re offering the special price of $660 until the end of January. You can use the promo code JANUARYONE to get this $140 discount until January 31, Midnight EST.
Drop Off and Pickup: Class starts at 9:00 am and class ends at 4:00 pm.
Lunch and Snacks. Students need to bring their own lunch or snacks. We ask that all students do not pack any lunch with peanuts or tree-nuts (cashews, macadamia nuts, almonds, etc) due to allergy concerns.
Required Materials. Paper, Pens/Pencils, and a Notebook. Students should also bring a laptop or a tablet if possible to do research and writing. If you know that your child will not have access to a laptop, please let us know as soon as possible; we will do our best to have a couple laptops on site for students to share.
No Class on July 4. There is no class on July 4th – for all students registering for a session that includes July 4th, tuition will be reduced by 10%. After registering, you will receive a 10% refund in June (so that you have the option of changing to another session as long as possible).
