What Do Parents Say About Lumos?
“Thank you so much for two wonderful weeks! Both A. and R. had great time. R. asked if he can go back next week :-). Amazing you guys can make learning so much fun. Totally awesome job! Well done! Million thanks to you and your team!”
“Akshay has enjoyed the program immensely and these few days has given him so much confidence in himself it is hard to believe. From the first day to the last day the difference in him is considerable.”
“The instructors were clearly very attentive, providing a lot of individual attention, constructive feedback, and encouragement to the students as well as status updates to the parents. Our son really had a wonderful two weeks—he learned a lot, made new friends and had a ton of fun!”
“On the first day, Marielle did not want to come to Lumos Camp, she cried the night before. Now she is asking to come back next year. You must be magic. Thank you thank you thank you!”
“Thank you. You really made it easy to help me get the girls exposed to debating. I am very pleased it worked out so well. Have a great year 🙂 Thank you so much.”

I will be picking up the girls tomorrow (Wed.) and I hope to connect with you then. Feedback about the camp:
Instructors = Professional, dependable, great communicators, positive, strong content knowledge – obviously well planned/organized-
Your staff is committed and spirited- They seem to enjoy the kids as much as the kids enjoy them. They are creative and playful but also serious about debate and learning. I appreciate the maturity and professionalism of your instructors.
Climate = Beautiful campus setting, well structured day and very well supervised.
(I had two “owie reports ” and the instructors called right away, were calm, matter of fact, – I trusted their judgement and appreciated the check in calls.)
Young Debaters were fully and immediately welcomed and engaged- The staff made sure each kid felt comfortable. There were no reports of unsafe or disrespectful behaviors and no reports of feeling excluded. (I’m very impressed that you all were able to create such a positive welcoming atmosphere right away. Great.)
It seems that kids are pushed just the right amount: where they intrinsically want to improve their skills so they are able to hear suggestions as feedback- not as harsh criticism. The day was well balanced with age appropriate games and activities and special events (debating, smoothie making, debating, hide and seek, presentation skills, capture the flag—perfect)”
